September 2010 Kickoff

I’ve had A Week. A co-worker’s child was killed last weekend (made newspapers here and in my parents’ area, because apparently a relative had a local-to-them small chain of stores) and everyone’s been scrambling like mad, redistributing their workload for the next week or two. I’ve finished rebuilding this site’s database, and am now starting on my other site. I’m bummed that I’m missing all the DragonCon festivities…but I’m going next year!! And if all things financial work out, Becky will be flying across the pond to join me and my friend Greyloch at the Atlanta Marriott for a week. Phyrra may be there as well, just because she regularly attends DragonCon. Though..what’s this about a limo excursion?!?? How do we get one of those?

I placed an order with Shiro Cosmetics and got it about a week ago…and haven’t sat myself down and actually swatched them nor reviewed them. I will tell folks - if you’ve been wanting to place a large-ish order, now is the time to do it. In addition to the per-pot discount for buying multiples, all orders over $40 will be discounted (refunded) an additional 10%. That adds up to about 18% savings, per pot, when I ordered 10 full-size colors.

I did another inventory of the BE kits I have yet to list and review for the site…and realized that with just a few purchases, I’ve completed about 9 more kits, including Puppy Love (bought Montana off of an Ebay seller) and Little Wonders (bought Dare off of another Ebay seller). So looks like it’s time for me to spend an afternoon or three adding more BE kit writeups!

In utterly unrelated-to-beauty-or-makeup news, it’s about a month until Gingerbread Latte season at $buck$. I am their unwavering slave during gingerbread latte season - even though I have a bottle of the gingerbread syrup, I don’t have the knack of making a proper latte.
