My name is Aprill, last name not all that important. I am a 27 year old mother of 5 and a pure product junkie.

I am in no way, shape or form a makeup artist, I know a little about makeup, thanks to moderating makeuptalk.com for the last three years. I do however, know exactly what I like, and what I want from my beauty products.

I am in high end product Hell, here in Mississippi.  MAC is 45 minutes away. So is Sephora, Ulta, Bobbi Brown and Chanel. And with the high cost of gas out here, what I intend to get, I would spend in gas. So I decided to make the best out of it, but trying out drugstore products, and I liked it! I also use the internet to discover new and upcoming products, and little know brands as well.

Don’t get me wrong, I like some high end cosmetics, but they are being overhyped at an alarming rate. The love for a beauty product has been replaced by brand name.  If it has no name, its not worth talking about. That’s not true.  A young lady that I did not know stopped me a while back and asked me about the makeup I had on…first question “Is that MAC?” Which I gladly said no. Actually its Maybelline. I am not prejudiced to one brand or another, I love them all. That’s purpose #1 of this blog, to expose you to more than just high end brands you see celebrities wear on tv.

I am also a woman of color. We are all women of color actually. I want to make readers aware of beauty products for women of all colors, what works for them and what doesn’t.  That’s purpose #2 of my blog.

I am not new to blogging, however I still have a lot to learn. I had learned so much and can share.  I am not the kind of blogger that gets too high on my horse, if you need help with anything, I can help. Just hit the contact form.
