BareMinerals’ Spotlight On Prime Time Primer Shadow kit

I’ll be honest with folks: I bought this kit on my last day in Atlanta, back in September. We’d packed and checked out of the hotel, and we had three hours to kill before we had to be at the airport. So naturally we went shopping! We found the larger, better-stocked Ulta (the largest, nicest Ulta that I’ve ever seen, though admittedly I’ve only seen seven different locations in my home state), and kind of went nuts.

I don’t honestly know why I picked up this particular kit, because I already had the eyeliner in this color, and I didn’t really need another mini mascara. I think it was the creme shadow: Champagne Toast isn’t part of the regular lineup, and I wanted to see if a lighter, more gold-brown color would look better on me than Bronzed Twig. At any rate, I’m still not 100% sure why I grabbed this kit. I think it was a semi-fatalistic case of “I’m in Atlanta, I’ve been saving for this trip for a year, and I haven’t spent all my designated ‘fun money’ yet!!!” This kit isn’t horrible, or a poor value. It just isn’t necessarily something I’d have purchased under normal, non-ConBrain circumstances because I already owned half of the pieces, in full size.

This kit contained:

  • mini Soft Focus Velour — wet-clay brown matte
  • mini Big & Bright Eyeliner in Black Coffee — blackened brown
  • Champagne Toast primer shadow — bronzed toffee
  • mini Flawless Definition Mascara in Black
