BareMinerals’ Crushed Velvet blush

This is a bit dark and a bit too pigmented for me to wear as a blush. (Good news, though - deeper skintones will actually be able to wear this blush and see it! Which isn't the case with all BE blushes.) I can use this as a lip color or an eye color. It's a very rich red with a plush finish - looks very much like crushed velvet. When I use it as a liner, it looks like Black Ruby without the blackening or the shimmer - so, just the color.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the face color in the pot; top right, the face color patted loosely over primer, to better show the shade and properties; and below, the color applied to the cheeks.

This was apparently a limited-edition item, only available through the one Get Started kit. I wish it had been made part of the regular line. It would have been a good move for several reasons - not the least of which, it was a blush that actually had pigmentation.
