A new kit, full-size eye and face colors, a decent price, not too many staples (a personal pet peeve of mine)...and except for the mineral veil and Leslie buxom (previously released on QVC), all new items or colors. It’s a good value and a nicely varied “intro” kit for BE (a better intro kit than their ubiquitous foundation-and-veil-and-Warmth kits, but that’s just my opinion.)
This kit contained:
When this first came out, I thought: nice enough, but another pink eyeshadow! I don't need another pink eyeshadow. And I don't use the eyeliners, so I don't care too much. The buxom color doesn't look that fantabulous. And that brush...? Just weird." I didn't need this kit, I decided. And then time passed, and I got one of the Big and Bright eyeliners and liked it...and found out that Sage was only in this kit. And saw a swatch of Leslie buxom, and it looked like a slightly pinker version of Julie buxom.
And suddenly, yeah, I decided to get this kit.
The mini Leslie buxom is very pretty, and I'm thinking of buying a backup off of Ebay. The grey eyeshadow is nice, not spectacular but not just a reworking of Dove or Drama. The pink eyeshadow is kind of meh, but it's not horrendous. It's a little bit brighter than Cultured Pearl, and is a bit sheer for my tastes. The blush is nice - not pure pink, not too warm a shade for me either.
