While I was thrilled to see the original Color Tattoo lineup, I was also happy to see some shades in a different palette. Mossy Green is still a bit of a jeweltone, but not a bright candy-pop jeweltone. It's got a bit more depth, perhaps halfway between a dark green gel liner and a cool emerald paint pot. The coverage is good, and it applies evenly. I also like seeing this color as a liner, on predominantly lighter looks. This shade works well with my eyecolor and general skintones to accentuate without stark outlining.
With the Fall 2012 NYFW collection, Maybelline released a brush that worked excellently for applying these color tattoos. It was a more compact brush head, slightly denser than most brushes of its size. It gave more control without being an utterly rigid brush. Using this brush to apply this as a liner accent color worked really well!! (I went on a little crusade at IMATS LA, looking for other similar brushes that would perform similarly to this one, which was nearly $12 and seemed to be snatched up fairly quickly.)
