Maybelline’s Seashore Frosts Color Tattoo cream shadow

The most obvious duochrome/duotone of the Summer 2013 color tattoos. It's semisheer, so this is definitely more of an effects-layer than the first set of color tattoos. If you're hoping for the same slate-blue that you see in the pot, with the coppery-red colorshift, you'll be disappointed - because the color payoff isn't there. What you get instead is something more like Persephone Minerals' Bicurious/Falling Angel: a semisheer light blue that can be more opaque if layered, with the colorshift when the light is at certain angles.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeliner tube or pencil barrel; top right, the eyeliner applied over bare skin, to better show the shade and properties; and below, the eyeliner applied on the eyelid at the lash line.

The colorshifting effect is fairly subtle; but I love subtle, so this definitely works for me. You can get an amped-up shift by either applying multiple layers (wait for each previous layer to set, and don't apply more than three) or by applying this over a dark-colored base.
