This is almost an electric blue! In fact, this is nearly the same shade as the Electric Blue jumbo eye pencil from NYX…but in a cream shadow form. I'm not quite sure why this shade was named “teal”, since there isn't much teal or even green tones in the color. Then again, NYX can't have all the fun naming colors misleadingly. (Really, NYX? Something called Sunny Day is a fuchsia-pink? Same with the color Lemon Drop?!??) But odd-ish color naming aside, this is a really great color! Vivid, solidly opaque, and - for a frost - even application. This is definitely thick enough and pigmented enough to be easily used as a liner shade. It may be a little offputting for folks that prefer deeper blues, or at least prefer colors that aren't so very bright…but personally, I love it! I can see teaming this up with Edgy Emerald and Painted Purple for a rainbow-liner effect.
