Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

News and so forth from around the beauty-web

You know how it is, you start out posting one little-ish thing, you find a bunch of little-ish things, and pretty soon you're a traffic cone away from a really wild party. So here's a quick round-up.

(Okay, the real story is I had wicked insomnia last night, was up until about 3am, and while I'm awake-ish and at the keyboard, I'm not in the mood to do makeup. The next two days in the theme are geese (white) and swans (white), so I'm either going to go nuts with color, or just skip the theme-days until day eight, where we get to play with hues again. Ladies dancing…lords leaping…maids milking…less than poetic phrase-wise, but I get a freer hand with the colors.)

Via Twitter (and the owner's blog) comes the news that the Aromaleigh web site is down for a few days while some database issues are resolved. They're not closed, far from it. But the techs need to un-do some programmatical knots. Look for Aromaleigh to be back up and running after New Year's.

Morgana Minerals will be releasing new loose-powder pigments and new vegan lipstick colors early in 2010. And there are now photos of all the new cream shadows and gel liners.

The SheSpace will be moving from packaging pigments in sifterless 3-gram jars to 5-gram jars with sifters. Less in-transit leakage, less chance of clients accidentally spilling their pots and losing a good chunk of the product, and jars that stack a bit easier. (The 3-gram jars I did have, from TSS and from Fyrinnae and Pure Luxe (their samples come in these jars) have a tendency to slip a bit when they're stacked atop each other. The 5-gram jars were less likely to slip.)

Meow Cosmetics may be changing their packaging, offering all their pigments in 5-gram jars...or they may just offer the option to buy all pigments, even the permanent collections, in either 5- or 10-gram jars. That hasn't been firmed up yet, according to threads on their forum.

And if anyone's reading this far, there will be a contest for Sparklecrack Central's one-year birthday on January 9, 2010. If I get more than three entries I'll be kind of amazed. :D
