These cost more than the other NYX lipsticks, but I’ve tried all three - Round, Diamond, and these, the Black Label - and these really are the best formula of the three. I don’t have the color migration issues that I do with most of the Round lipsticks; and they don’t feel stiffer and dry, like the Diamond lipsticks. There’s a very faint grape scent when first applying these, but it’s not very strong and it doesn’t seem to linger after I close the tube - good news for folks who are very attuned to scents in their products. Grapeseed is pleasant, clean, just ever so slightly crisp, not cloying (like the vanilla scents that some brands use), and this scent is preferable to the chemical smell of the Round Lipsticks. I do think that it would be in NYX’s best interests to show the BL shades and their corresponding Round shades, because if someone falls in love with a shade but wants something that will stay in place better, or hydrate a bit more, it would be nice to know which of the Black Label lipsticks to choose.
That said, since these aren't sealed in any way, I would strongly urge buying them from someplace like Beautyjoint or Cherryculture. Not only are they more likely to have a larger selection in stock, but you know that no one's surreptitiously used a tube as a tester - not even on the back of their hand or wrist.
I currently own 15 of these, and unless I'm able to find some correspondences with my favorite shades from the Round Lipstick collection (or there's a huge call for swatches of all of these, and a little help paying for the other colors,) I think I'll stop there. This collection contained:
