Shiro’s collections tend to cover a good color range, even if they stick with a tone (brights, greyed, softer…) This collection doesn’t stick with one of those themes, so much. There aren’t many “light” colors, though Baker’s Boy and Wildflowers do come close. (Going solely on the photos, I think Wildflowers might be a near-substitute for the now-discontinued Clefairy and Vileplume. Hopefully it won’t meet a similar fate.) There are a few metallics, some blackened shades…a good mixture. Most are shimmer finish. I’m not sure why Shiro doesn’t produce more pearl shades - the Kawaii shadows had good color payoff, and were pearl/satin finish - but that might be helpful for people who feel prefer to minimize the sparkle and shimmer. About half the colors are lip-safe; and Caitlin’s marked each shade as lip-safe or not - so no guessing, no needing to contact her and ask.
My early favorites from this collection were Cornucopia, Huntress, and Unforgettable. I did end up getting Ever In Your Favor, though that was one of the colors that I almost immediately marked as “probably not.” (Weird how I do that almost all the time…) I haven’t even tried a sample of Remake - the color just looks like it will be a bit too yellow to look good with my coloring, though the purple sparkle looks like an interesting counterpoint.
