This color is described as “a wonderfully medium-deep red with a medium shimmer and highlights of blue.” That much is accurate: it's a medium red, there are highlights of blue, and there's a slight shimmer. What isn't stated is that there's almost no pigment to this color. It's a great additive - in fact, it very closely resembles Coastal Scents' Winterveld mica powder. However, applying it dry to your eyes or cheeks yields almost no coloring unless you really layer it on. Even applied wet, you get a slight sheen of blue - but little red pigmentation.

The jar was inexpensive, but I was hoping for some actual pigmentation.
