Can I tell you how much I love these liners? So the chance to get five of them - three which were not previously released, and which weren’t added to the lineup later - was a great value. The colors were a mixture, too, of the standard dark-definition and brighter-jeweltone shades. I would have guessed that this set was a test-market run to see how an expansion of the line might be greeted…but this set was released in late autumn 2013, and the line expanded very shortly thereafter. That’s not near enough time to get any substantive market feedback.

Stila’s Color Outside the Lines Smudge Stick Eyeliner kit

This kit contained:

  • Aubergine — burgundy-violet creme
  • Emerald — medium-bright green creme
  • Lionfish — medium-deep brown creme (part of the regular line)
  • Navy — medium-deep blue creme
  • Stingray — black creme (part of the regular line)

Stingray and Lionfish were already part of the regular line. I think that Navy became Ultramarine, Emerald got darkened and called Jade, and Aubergine got tweaked and made into Violet. (I could be wrong. Those are just conclusions I drew from comparing these colors to shades in the permanent lineup as of February 2014.)
