Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

Wet and Wild Nail Polish: everything’s coming up roses (for Halloween)

Just found these at my local drugstore while out to get some baking soda. I went wandering down the Halloween aisle, intent on finding some of those Smarties - because they're candy, but they're not all that great. (The logic here is that I figured they'd be quite safe in the house until Halloween, and possibly even after, since I'd only really eat these if I were desperate.) When I first saw these, I had to stop and read the display stand to figure out what they were.

At first I wondered why there were only two colors of this available - and one of them wasn't orange, which seems to be a perennial Halloween shade. (In fact, most manufacturers are so unfond of orange that they'll only bring it out during Halloween...but I digress.) Then I picked up one of the bottles and held it upside down...which is apparently how they're supposed to be displayed. It was a nail polish bottle, but the glass was in the shape of a rose. The lid was the "stem" of the flower. And they were $3 for a bottle.

Nail Files:

I immediately got visions of getting several of these bottles, emptying them, and refilling them with my Nubar duochromes and my Del Sol colorchanging polishes. Sure it would be unwieldy. But...how cool would that be?!??
