I took an interest in this color during my Atlanta trip, when Sirvinya looked at this color a few times before ultimately deciding not to get it. I finally did get it - when I got home. It's a very unassuming tan-brown with yellow undertones, but it's got a silver-pearl overlay with faint hints of blue iridescence. Not a “wow knock your socks off” shade, but it's a lovely...

Not a tan-gold like FYI - but definitely a yellow-gold. Two coats was nearly opaque, but not quite. 3 coats, or two coats over an opaque yellow-gold base, would cover up any VNL. You may or may not still be able to find the polishes from this collection at your local drugstore - but this color is still available through either BeautyJoint or CherryCulture.

Most of these are sheer, or softer shades. I originally only bought Meadow from this collection, and wasn’t going to try any other colors. And then…I decided to get Poppy, because I didn’t have any medium corals in my collection and thought it would be a nice non-pink “everyday” spring and summer color. I still don’t know that I’ll go back for any of the others - Heather is too similar to Kendal, and Blossom...

A collaboration between MPZ and Geek Chic Cosmetics, in honor of Phil and Chantel’s wedding, this set is a collaboration of four eyeshadows (two by Chantel, two by MPZ.) For the curious…yes, Bridezilla does remind me quite a lot of Aromaleigh v1’s Whitewedding. There’s a little bit less large pieces of glitter in Bridezilla than there are in Whitewedding, but there are definite similiarities. (Which is actually fairly cool, since the whole Rocks! Sonic Eyes collection...

This color is a deeper tanned gold, but the pink iridescence tips it over into the “slightly peachier” category. It gives a bit of depth but without being “just another brown.” This works surprisingly well with my coloring, though it's got enough yellow in the base color that I need to be careful about what colors I pair it with. I want to make the “tan” and “iridescent pink” the focus of attention, not the yellow tones. Application is straightforward...

BareMinerals’ High Shine Patina

This color looks much darker in the tube than it does when applied. That's almost a theme for the entire High Shine collection of colors, but it definitely proves out with shades like Patina and Electric. The green is a fairly neutral green, no overt blue or gold tones in the color that I can detect. This is a High Shine Eyecolor, which means that BE has packaged these in tubes with what I personally consider to be one of...

There's a bit more rose than overt coral tones here - and I don't know how well this will work on me, as an eyeshadow. The color payoff is a little softer than I'd prefer, for an eyeshadow. On the other hand, it is a nice shade that works well with my coloring; and with a light enough touch and a fiber-optic brush, I may be able to use this as a blusher. Meow still has a few pots of...

Applied wet, there's more gilding than the yellow base color. Applied dry, you definitely see more of the yellow. So this won't work as a highlighter shade for me. I have tried putting it over dark cream shadows to see if I can get an effect that I really like. No luck yet, but I'm going to continue trying. Even though I haven't figured out the best way to use this color on me yet, I don't yet consider it...
