Looks like a deep evergreen over a black base, but it does lean olive in some lighting. I like this shade because it complements my eye color very well - better than dark brown or blackened navy.
This eyeshadow behaves oddly when mixed with water. The finish forms a layer on top of the pigment, and the top layer isn’t always even…you can see some gaps in my foiled-swatch. The color itself is nice enough, though not terribly unique. If you have a fondness for navy or deep blue eyeshadow, you may already have something like this in your collection.
Very similar to the long-discontinued Emerald Fitzgerald from China Glaze, but more green than green-blue. This doesn’t have the metallic finish of Giovanna, and it’s a darker cooler green than Ivanka. I could have gotten nearly-full coverage in one coat, but it would have been thinner in spots. It’s been a while since I’ve bought any Zoyas. The price per bottle just got too high, especially since I found CND’s Vinylux and Color Club to last longer and have the colors I wanted. But when the annual Earth Day sale came around…I decided to make up for a few years’ time. I ended up getting all off the shades from this collection, even Leia, which looks very much like an effects top coat.
