The lippie stix are retractable sticks of color, with an airtight cap. They come in different finishes, and a range of shades. Most of the shades are medium intensity or bolder, with a few purples and a black thrown in for “edginess”...but they don’t have Urban Decay’s shade range (to pick a company famous for having blue, green, purple, and even black lipsticks.) The colors go on easily, pigmentation levels are good, and the price is decent,...
Try using this as a liner shade. It’s dark enough to provide definition, but it’s not black or navy…or even really brown. There’s enough orange to make the color interesting, but not enough that it will clash or look jarring on extremely warm skintones.
I like this color of red - a faded mauve that still has a bit of depth, and has solid-enough color payoff that it won’t disappear or fade into the background no matter what other eyeshadow color it’s up against. It applies and blends very well. The shimmer is scattered enough to be subtle, but the aqua color is a nice contrast and a change from silver or white shimmer (or even gold.)
This and Linen (from the Faux Whites) were my first choices from these collections. Onyx doesn’t smudge out as much as I would like, but the coverage is good and it applies easily. My only complaint is that, perhaps, the product is a little too soft. I had repeated problems keeping any kind of point on this pencil, so applying it was (and is) a little bit of a chore. I’m afraid to try leaving the lid partially...
This was one of the best-sellers in 2013, so it went straight into the High Scores collection and stayed permanently available. Makes a very good liner shade, as well as an accent or contour. This color is pretty pigmented - I don’t need much on the brush to get the effect I want.
This birthday-gift freebie is an attractive enough color, but it’s so sheer, it barely shows up on me. I think that it would have been all but invisible on folks with medium and deeper skintones.
Vampy raspberry-wine with a satin finish. The coverage can be a little bit uneven, especially compared to other CP Lippie Stix; but careful application takes care of that. There was a little bit of staining when I applied this color, but even that staining faded away on its own about 30 minutes after regular removal.
