BareMinerals’ 100% Pure Bloom kit

I bought this kit because I’d been given a sample of Petal and liked it. So when I saw that (at that point) Petal was only available in this kit…I jumped. I was in the midst of my Mad Acquisition Spree, and didn’t realize that I already had the one other color in this kit that I might like: Silk Rose. Petal is okay, though I often use it as a lightener on contour colors that are a little too cool for whatever I’m trying to pull off that day. I do like Silk Rose very much.

This kit contained:

I don't know, for sure, if I would buy this kit again or not. I like Silk Rose and Joy. I'm not so sure about Petal. The bag was a wash-out, as all makeup bags always are. The blending brush was decent quality, though I don't know for sure if I would have chosen it on its own (especially not with the ginormous markup Bare Escentuals puts on all their brushes. There's only one BE brush I'd pay retail for, and that's because I haven't found anything else like it anywhere.) Two colors and a brush would normally run me $26 + $18...$44 if I bought the items singly. Okay, so I'd buy the kit again. But it's a very near thing.

As of April 2009, all of the components in this kit (except the makeup bag) are currently available individually through the BE webstore.
