The Buxom line was launched in 2009, exclusive to Sephora. The lip polishes existed before the Buxoms were spun off as their own line, so many of those older colors can be found elsewhere. The Buxom Big and Healthy Lip Sticks are all exclusive to Sephora. The collection kicked off with six colors, and was expanded…fairly rapidly. Colors would debut as minis in kits, and would show up in the regular line four to six months afterward.

These do give your lips a slight tingle when applied, but not as much of an effect as the lip polishes. While these are called “lip sticks”, I use them like the old BE quicksticks: as kind of a cross between liners and base colors, with a lip polish or another lip color on top. You get relatively little product for the price you’re paying; but I’ve found that I don’t need to reapply as the day goes on - I may need to reapply the lip gloss or any primary color, but these don’t need very frequent touching up.

All of the Buxom products (lip polishes, lip sticks, lip balms, creme shadows) have been named in themes: womens' names for the lip polishes, city names for the lip sticks. (The reason that neither Berlin nor Milan are swatched above, is because I had them once upon a time, in mini size, from the very first mixed Buxom kit. I confirmed that these colors did nothing for me, re-homed them, and never thought about them again. They have since been discontinued entirely.)
