Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

9 am, and all’s well (thus far)

It's August! And it's Monday! And yesterday the software broke, and then was fixed! (So to everyone subscribed to my RSS feed…it's going to be kind of ugly as I manually rebuild the database, including all entries and comments. It's been a few years since I had to do this, and I've created a HELLUVA lot of entries in that brief time - on this site, and two others. And that doesn't touch the other database I've got to go play with.)

Send chocolate. The quality stuff. And if the delivery boy happens to be witty and sympathetic and will listen to me whinge for a bit while I eat a few pieces…well, so much the better.

In other news, if you've been lusting after the new China Glaze Vintage Vixen colors...they're now available at the online etailers. No word on if they're at Ulta, or Sally, or any other physical locations yet (I'm sure they are, I just haven't been paying attention.) Krissy at Addicted to All Things Pretty is holding a contest and giving away the Cat's Meow set of colors, which includes Goin' My Way (metallic chocolate bronze), Riveter Rouge (burgundy glass-fleck frost), Classic Camel (butter-beige glass-fleck creme), Emerald Fitzgerald (deep emerald-green frost), Midnight Mission (midnight blue glass-fleck frost), and First Class Ticket (deep indigo shimmer). I've already ordered some of the colors from the other set of VV shades, and while I've only worn one, I love them all. Keep in mind, too, that so many China Glaze frosts and metallics work quite well as nail stamping colors...and you've got a whole bunch of twofers. (I might even find a creative use for Classic Camel, which isn't a color I'd normally wear on its own.)

Aromaleigh had closed down for orders to catch up on the backlog...but they're opened again. They're again accepting Paypal (but only shipping to confirmed addresses), and they'll be temporarily suspending new orders when they've reached 100 more orders. The last day to place new orders - final, final, final - is now August 15th (though that may be moved out, depending on inventory and scheduling and soforth.) There's more information on the company blog. (As a trivia note, fullsize eyeshadow orders "ship" [are processed?] fastest, while sample orders move more slowly.)
