Dryades is one of four seasonal collections, named after groups of nymphs: Dryades in the fall, Asteriai in winter, Anthousai in the spring, Okeanides in summer. This set was one of the more problematic sets of samples to swatch, for me. They all appeared slightly hydrophobic: they would not blend easily with water, and when they finally did blend, the resulting mix was often clumpy and sluggish, and would not foil smoothly

There are lots of ways to apply shadows wet. Some people use their favorite setting spray. Others will use a sticky base, like glitter glue. I use water. And, unfortunately, Aromaleigh's eyeshadow formula as of 2015 does not work well when combined with water as a foiling medium.
Swatching these shadows crystallized my current stance on Aromaleigh: their eyeshadows are good quality, and apply well dry, but they don't work for the way I apply eyeshadows. Thus, I'm not likely to buy too many more fullsize eyeshadows from this company. (I will continue to buy sample sets of at least the remaining "nymph" eyeshadow collections - spring and summer - because I'm such a completist.)
