When I started cautiously buying Aromaleigh again, and started with sample sets. (It seemed a very wise idea, since the overall quality of v2 shadows has been less than I’d expected, based on v1’s product quality.) I was drawn to this limited-edition collection for two reasons: one, the “bright winter” color palette; and two, the name and theme. I’m a huge fan of the movie Blade Runner and the book upon which it was based, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Not all of the colors swatch as shown on the Aromaleigh web site - at least, not the way that I swatch and light, which is as close to how I actually apply my shadows as possible except that they’re swatched on my forearm rather than my eyelid. The duotones, in particular, didn’t show as very strong duotones for me. Some of the deeper shades didn’t have quite as much color payoff as the vendor site’s photos.
I picked up Blush Response, Like Tears In Rain, and Incept Date in fullsize. They're nice colors, though LTiR doesn't have as much color payoff as many other blues from other vendors. Origami Unicorn was never under consideration for fullsize because it looked like too soft a color. I was eyeballing Prodigal Son and More Human Than Human, but after swatching them I decided against buying them in fullsize.
I'm glad I got these in sample size, but not enough of the shades worked for me to add them to my full-size collection.
