Aromaleigh v2’s Sylph collection

Posted on at 2 Commentsbought • 315 views

Aromaleigh v2’s Sylph collection
  • Manufacturer: Aromaleigh v2
  • Availability: limited edition; available beginning in July 2012 through the webstore
  • Contains: 16 blushes
  • Cost/Amount: USD$14 for 7 grams; $2 for a sample baggie
  • Would you purchase again: some of the colors, yes

Aromaleigh v2’s first blush collection. Most of these are near-matte finishes with barely any glow - and I tend to like my blushes with a little bit of glow, so initially I only picked up one color. The range of shades is about as broad as the former Pure Rouges collection, but there aren’t as many colors in this collection as there were in that one. I like the colors and the coverage, but I’ve found that I’m happier with the end result if I lightly brush an AOFC or one of Meow’s Wildcat glow powsers over these.

This collection includes:

  • Amaranth — sheer deep berrywine sheen
  • Artemesia — sheer deep mauve-wine sheen
  • Bouvardia — sheer medium coppery coral-pink sheen
  • Calla — sheer coral-peach sheen
  • Celosia — sheer soft coral-rose sheen
  • Dianthus — sheer medium-deep rose mauve sheen
  • Freesia — sheer cool medium mauve-rose sheen
  • Gerbera — sheer coral-red sheen
  • Gladiolus — sheer cool mauve-pink sheen
  • Lantana — sheer rosy peach-clay sheen
  • Paeonia — sheer medium-deep pink-rose sheen
  • Primrose — sheer medium tanned-pink mauve sheen
  • Protea — sheer medium coral-pinked red sheen
  • Sakura — sheer tulip-pink sheen
  • Stargazer — sheer medium brown-rose sheen
  • Thistle — sheer cool medium-light mauve-lilac sheen

Hmm, I think the whole sheer thing would be frustrating.

I don’t find them to be any more sheer than, say, blushes from Bare Escentuals. (And you get more, the product’s a better value.) But I really do like a little more shimmer than these colors have on their own!

Beauty Tip

Start using sunscreen and moisturizer long before you 'need' them - skin maintenance is better and easier than skin repair.
