BareMinerals’ Buxom Jasmine

There is shimmer in this. Just…not very much. If I apply a thinner layer to get a softer layer of color, I see even less of the shimmer that’s visible in the macro shot. For those of us who love a really good, juicy red but don’t like how we look in solid darker lip colors, Jasmine is a great lip polish! We get the color saturation without the intensity of a completely opaque cabernet-red lipstick.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the lip color in the tube; top right, the color applied over bare skin, to better show the shade; and below, the color applied to the lips.

The artwork is not the same…but I think that Buxom Betty may have been the Buxom v1 predecessor of this shade. Jasmine is a bit cooler and a little richer, but otherwise they’re very close.
