BareMinerals’ buxom Sydney

This shade seems to change a bit…in my photos it looks a little warmer, a little more tan. When I've worn it, though, it's appeared to have just the slightest bit of pink undertone. This isn't a fantastic shade for me, but it's a decent, unobtrusive neutral that I can use to tone down some of my more vivid lip colors. (Yes, I almost use this like a primer. It's bizarre-sounding, but it works for me.) I originally got a mini version of Sydney in the Sephora VIB 500-point perk that I got in Atlanta (I also used up my ginormous backlog of points and got one for Sirvinya and one for Numindan, as well. Hey, if you can't get gifties for your friends, what's the use of having all those points? The 500-point bonuses aren't always something that's to my tastes…)

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the lip color in the tube; top right, the color applied over bare skin, to better show the shade; and below, the color applied to the lips.

Like all of the Buxom Lip Sticks, this applies easily and stays in place fairly well - though with its ultra-neutral shade, it's easier to accidentally overapply this color than some of the others like San Francisco, or even Las Vegas. The official color description calls it a pink nude, but this could probably be worn by folks with warmer neutral skintones. I don't know how it would look on someone with golden undertones, though.
