BareMinerals’ Destination: Ensenada kit

Described as “a five piece collection inspired by Bare Escentuals Customer Cruise to Ensenada, Mexico.” I don’t tend to count the bags in these kits, so I’m just going to call it “a four piece collection” and be happy with that. Even so, it’s still a good value. The kit contains four brightly-hued but sheer colors. All four are brighter colors, all four are a sheer wash of color so are more versatile than might be imagined, and none of these have truly close duplicates anywhere in the BE regular lineup.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

BareMinerals’ Destination: Ensenada kit
  • Salsa - a neutral red wash of color with slight pearl finish.
  • Cerveza - a sheer amber yellow - about the color of some darker American beers or pale ales. Applied to the eyes, the color nearly vanishes unless it's applied as a wash over another color (either to warm the color up, or tone it down a little bit.)
  • Lime - a sheer bright lime green pearl. The BE color Oasis is actually a bit close to this color, though Oasis is less sheer.
  • Cruisin' Teddi - a sheer pearlized wash of mid-turquoise blue.

I am not a big fan of cosmetic bags, so I didn't look closely at the bag that came with the kit - I just gave it away. If I had the chance to buy these colors individually, I probably would have skipped over Lime and Cerveza. They're nice enough colors; but I have other shades I like better. I am glad that I own both Salsa and Cruisin' Teddi, though.
