BareMinerals’ French Pastry lipstick

I fell in love with this lipstick when it was used on me at a makeover. The makeover was something of a disaster…but I did get introduced to this shade of lipstick (and to Ta-dah eyeshadow), which I probably otherwise wouldn't have looked at twice.

French Pastry is (for me) the perfect blend of peach, rose, pink, and gold. I don't know how it will work on warmer-colored folks, or people with deeper skintones…but on me, it looks amazing! At the makeover, they topped it with <a href=”Julie buxom; but I've worn it both with and without any buxom gloss over the top.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the lip color in the tube; top right, the color applied over bare skin, to better show the shade; and below, the color applied to the lips.

Like most BE lipsticks, it applies rather smoothly but it doesn't glide on utterly effortlessly - it not as creamy as MAC lipsticks, but it's close. It doesn't skip in its application, and color coverage is buildable, so if I want to try for heavier color I can just go back over my lips a second time.
