BareMinerals’ Love and Happiness kit

Released to celebrate 35 years of Bare Escentuals…which may explain the price for a kit containing five full-size items. (Not that I’m complaining…) Originally these items didn’t interest me, but then I actually tried the Love Radiance. This may be my “no-makeup” blusher/highlighter that I’ve been casually looking for the last four years. I was also very interested in the eyeliner, because of the color. It wasn’t just green, but a jeweltone green!

BareMinerals’ Love and Happiness kit

This kit contained:

  • Queen Phyllis Matte — light butter-yellow matte
  • Oz Big & Bright Eyeliner — lush emerald green
  • Love Radiance — semisheer tanned peach-mauve with gold shimmer
  • Prime Time Brightening Sunlit Eyelid Primer
  • Best Friend Lip Balm — sheer raspberry sheen
  • XOX Charm

I could really care less about the charm or the primer - BE's primers don't give me anywhere near the performance of UDPP. The lip balm is nice - a semisheer lip color similar to BE's older lippies (which have been erased from the lineup entirely.) I wasn't sure I'd care for Queen Phyllis matte, even though I have and really like the regular version. As it is, QPM acts a bit like MAC's Soft Ochre paint pot, lightening the eye area without frost or shimmer. The Love Radiance and the Oz eyeliner are favorites of mine - Love Radiance, in particular, is really gorgeous!
