BareMinerals’ Restore

It's a decent warm brown, not dark enough to be used easily as a liner shade, but not whisper-pale or minimally pigmented. It's your basic brown. Bare Escentuals release so many of them that unless they do something different - Tiger's Eye's dark pigmentation or Firefly's almost-sparkly shimmer - I can't really say much about this. Not a color I'll necessarily throw away, it's like a standard pair of white socks: you'll wear them daily, you don't experience separation anxiety if you misplace a pair because you have umpty-batrillion more of them in your sock drawer, and if you ever do run low, it'll be fairly easy to replace since it wasn't all that different or special to begin with.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

Once applied using your preferred application (wet, dry, over primer, over cream shadow, whatever) the performance is about average for BE eyeshadows. I do like a good interesting brown - just try and pry Retro from my fingers - but this one couldn't be picked out of a lineup without a sign hanging around its neck.
