BareMinerals’ Satin Peach

In the pot, this looks like a soft peach, or a washed out yellow-orange. Applied, it really softens down and shows less of the orange. I think that it may have too much actual pigmentation and orange coloring to be effective as a highlighter unless you have just the right skintone and undertones. (I do not. I have to use this as a highlight color, not a browbone shade. It does make a nice addition to my “near-neutrals” group of eyeshadows.)

I've mentioned previously that I like the satin-finish shadows' performance more than the velvets', and Satin Peach is no exception. Much of the peach coloring is obscured by the white-ish finish, but the final shadow is even, with good color payoff, and is ever-so-slightly warmer. This color reminds me of Soul, but with pale peach undertones rather than the cream-yellow that Soul has.

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
