When this color was introduced, I was glad to see some less intense reds. The line had only a few pinks at that point - though others would be added - but most of the colors seemed tilted toward the more somber end of the scale. There weren't many brighter or lighter colors, not even many nudes. Most of the original lipstick colors all had some hint of brown or orange undertones.

This isn't as pink as many other lip- or nail-colors called “Strawberry”-something, but it is a brighter red. It's brighter without being too obnoxious, though - even when applied heavily it doesn't look garish.
