BareMinerals’ Trend Report: Frill Seeker kit

I bought the pieces of this kit, rather than the whole kit; and did so piecemeal. I wasn’t overly thrilled with the kit itself when it came out. It looked like a neutral orange, an orange-brown, a blush, a gloss, and a black liner. There wasn’t much there that was inspiring, let alone made it worth paying $34. By the time I thought about getting it…maybe…it was marked down to $19.50 at channel partners and on bareescentuals.com. The colors do coordinate well, and the blush has very good color payoff; and when it was first released none of the items were part of the regular lineup.

Still…it just wasn’t that inspiring or eyecatching a kit.

BareMinerals’ Trend Report: Frill Seeker kit

Splendid showed up in a 2013 holiday kit with many new colors, so I snagged it at that point. Mademoiselle was a useful and versatile enough shade that it was also eventually bundled with another kit. I picked up Sweet Cheeks and Exuberance on Ebay, and left the eyeliner alone. I have lots of matte or creme black eyeliners, so didn't really need another.

This kit contained:

  • Mademoiselle — medium-soft peach shimmer
  • Splendid — metallic gilded bronze shimmer
  • Sweet Cheeks blush —
  • Round the Clock eyeliner in Midnight — deep black matte
  • Pretty Amazing lipgloss in Exuberance — sheer strawberry pink gloss
