BareMinerals’ Velvet Shell

Like so many of the other colors in this collection, any kind of wet application gives you a finish that takes visual precedence over the base color. The base color itself is fine, if not incredibly original (reminds me of Soft Focus Pure, a color that I use quite a lot as a warmer go-to neutral.) But the “velvet” finish…! Very aggravating.
