BareMinerals’ Violet Sky

Yet another case of “how did that color not get catalogued with everything else?” I've had Violet Sky since my first year of building my makeup hoard. It's not an immediately-interesting looking shade, with a muted and softened dusty purple satin; but it's very versatile. It's fairly amazing, in that it hasn't been used in any BE kits that I have recorded. Possibly it didn't get chosen for kit-duty because it doesn't have the visual appeal of the brighter or deeper purples, but this has good pigmentation and is a bit more versatile than some of the other “main-line” BE purple shadows. (It doesn't really smoke out worth a damn, though.)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.
