BareMinerals’ Warmth

Bare Escentuals just gushes about this item, about its versatility, about how everyone should have it and use it…and about half the people who use BE can't wear this because it makes us look orange.

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches

A montage of three images: top left, close-up of the eyeshadow in the pot; top right, the eyeshadow mixed with water and applied to bare skin; bottom left, the eyeshadow applied dry over primer.

My theory is that BE pushes it because it doesn't move and they've got metric tonnes of the stuff to try and get rid of somehow; but that's only a theory (and one that I'd actually be kind of shocked to find out was true). I know that there are some folks who can use it, and some who even genuinely like it.

I can use this as a blending shade, or a very soft eyeshadow, and that's it. And yes, it does oxidize rather easily & begins to lean orange - so I always have to take that into account when using this as an eyeshadow, and only use it with colors that won't look horrific if they get an orange-ish tinge later in the day.
