BBAC 2012: Day 22 - Travelling

Today I'm travelling down to visit my parents for a week. Next month, for my birthday, I'll be down in LA at IMATS, seeing some old friends and meeting others IRL for the first time! Lots of really hectic stuff going on, but I'm looking forward to it.

I've also been nursing a cold the past five days. I still have a cough, and get tired a little more easily; but I'm over the worst of it. I think. I hope my travelling doesn't send this remaining bits-of-chest-cold into a bronchial tailspin!

BBAC 2012: Day 22 - Travelling

When I was between 8 and 12 years old, my family flew back to the Midwest once every year. And, like clockwork, I'd get strep throat while we were there. This meant a trip to the doctor to get a shot so that I would be well enough to fly home. I don't know if we stopped visiting the Midwest in winter, or if I grew out of this winter-sickness period; but it didn't get to the point where I associated visits to relatives with pain and discomfort. (Not the physical variety, anyway.)

I've spent the past week drinking lots of fluids, sleeping, and coughing a lot. At least I can breathe through my nose all the time now! I'm tired, and I'm looking forward to loafing at my parents' house, eating holiday cookies and relaxing and Doing Nothing Productive.
