BBAC 2013, Day 2: elf’s Makeup Remover Wipes

These have been around for quite some time (longer than I've had this blog, and I suspect quite a while before even that.) I bought my first pack in late 2012, but didn't really start using them until I ran out of the Neutrogena makeup remover wipes that I *had* been using.

2013 was A Very Good Year for my skin, and my daily makeup removal routine.

BBAC 2013, Day 2: elf’s Makeup Remover Wipes

These are inexpensive: $3 for 20 cloths, or just fifteen cents per cloth, compared to $7-8 for 25/32 cents per cloth (most other generic/drugstore brands) or even up to 2.25 per individual cloth (MAC's makeup remover wipes, 45 sheets for $20.) I love the plastic snap-close lid over the reclosable flap, which means that an opened package is more leak-proof when travelling and adds an extra barrier to keep the cloths from drying out. The towels themselves are sturdy without being harsh. The makeup remover leaves my skin feeling just a little softer and more supple, while others that I've tried leave behind a tingling, more astringent, less comfortable sensation. And yes, Virginia, these even remove several of the waterproof mascaras that I've worn (not completely, and it does take a little more attention, but I'd say that the first pass easily removes half or more of waterproof mascaras and liners - even Urban Decay's 24-7 eyeliners, which Do Not Move once they've set.)

After using them for daily makeup removal and after-swatchfest cleanup for a year, I highly recommend these.
