BBAC 2013, Day 5: Missha’s Perfect Cover BB Cream

For years I used Meow Cosmetics' Sleek Himalayan or Frisky Chausie foundation. Then…I tried BB creams. Started with some of the US ones that are essentially tinted moisturizer; then last year I tried Missha's Perfect Cover BB Cream, based on another review from Nouveau Cheap and confirmed by follow-up research on other blogs. Two months after my initial purchase, Missha had a 40% off sale…and I stocked up. It's been almost a year, and I have yet to finish a tube (though I have used two shades this past year.)

I like how this performs. It covers completely, I have to use very little of it, and it even held up well to August in Atlanta GA. It's costly, but if you sign up for their mailing list you can get a free intro gift; and if you wait for the twice-yearly 40% off sales, you pay $18 for a tube that can last you nearly a year even if you use it every day. (I use one shade in the winter, another in the summer.) One distinct downside is their rather small shade range: if you don't happen to be in that range, you're either out of luck, or have to get wildly creative. Another is that this product does contain parabens, which are an absolute block for lots of people.
