This started out as “favorite polishes”. Then became “favorite polishes from 2015.” Then - as I realized that I had bought relatively few polishes in 2015 - it got moved to just “favorite polishes -=for=- 2015.” I'll probably come up with new “favorites” every year or so. For instance, I haven't yet worn every single one of the indie multichrome polishes that I bought last year. And I've only just received the newest wave of Color Club's Halo Hues polishes.
...I hate decisions sometimes…

CND's Vinylux Field Fox

Such a great neutral! This looks like a "light brown", or - based on the vendor illustration - possibly a buff nude-pink. But this one...this has hints of any color in it. Put it alongside white, it looks like that light-brown/beige. Put it alongside reds, it leans pink. Put it alongside a cool shade like blue or purple, you'd swear that this leaned just a little bit cool. It's a total chameleon, and exceedingly versatile!

CND's Vinylux Lost Labyrinth

A metallic aqua-turquoise blue polish that seems to glow from within. This is another CND Vinylux, which means a week's worth of wear and no chipping (even minimal tipwear.)

Dance Legend's Knight

This isn't just metallic, this is "every metal" metallic. I see pewter, I see bronze, I see aged gold, I see chrome...it sounds like Romper Room for the metallurgy set.

Polish Me Silly's Rebel

I haven't taken photos of this one yet, but I have worn it for almost a week...with CND Stickey underneath, and no topcoat to mute the multichrome effects. This and the other PMS multichromes are two-coaters. It's so lovely to have two-coat multichromes! This one has the most pronounced shifts and contrasts of all the multichrome polishes that I bought from this vendor.

Llarowe's Show Off

Another indie company with lovely multichromes! These took 3 coats to get full opacity rather than two. Show Off has the most prominent multichrome effects of the three that I bought from Llarowe.

Color Club's Beyond

Deep color, maybe not as saturated a base shade as I'd like, but...two coats for full-on holograph effects. Two! Not four. Two. I love all of the Halo Hues polishes, and picking a favorite is almost impossible...but it seemed like a cop-out to list "the entire Halo Hues collection." In the absence of a true rich ruby-red base-shade holographic, Beyond gets the nod.

Color Club's Editorial

The multichrome effects are muted, compared to Chanel's Peridot; but this was the first multichrome polish that I tried that only required two coats for full opacity.

Zoya's Edie

A limited shade...which makes me sad, because it's such a gorgeous lapis-turquoise blue. I have blue polishes from other vendors, but none are quite this shade.

Zoya's Marnie

There are a few deeper reds that I like, but I tend not to be a huge fan of "fire engine" red on my nails. I like muted reds, or oxblood shades like this one. This can be more of a brown with purple leanings, so it matches just a little bit better with more of my wardrobe.

Honorable Mention

These polishes weren't in the "favorites" bin for one reason or another, but something about them stood out (in a good way.)

Color Club's Cosmic Fate — tanned-peach base with the holographic effects! I do wish the base shade was a bit deeper, but...this one's awfully pretty.

Dance Legend's Proturbance — similar to Knight, but with widely scattered texture-granules so that it more resembles a scanty asteroid tail viewed in front of a section of Jupiter.

Sally Hansen's Grey Matters — the Miracle Gel formula is so very much not my favorite; but I really really liked this shade!

Zoya's Pandora — a really great porcelain-pink creme that leans just a little bit cool.
