BBAC 2011: Day Sixteen

Today I just have…zero energy. None. Nada. Niente. I've been chasing a particular job for five months now, getting a little closer, a little closer, a little closer!! but never getting to the point where I can start logging hours. It's frustrating and draining.

BBAC 2011: Day Sixteen

So I'm giving myself permission to “take the day off” - relax, paint my nails, watch a video, NOT check email every five minutes, do some blog cleanup that's needed done…for a while now. And while I'm doing that I'm revisiting some music by Lisa Gerrard. The band Dead Can Dance, which is Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry, is re-forming and going on tour in 2012, and they've made a 4-track EP available for free download on their site. (Yep, really, for free.) First up, Come Tenderness (which I've posted before.)

Next, Minus Sanctus.

I realize that, in a way, this is cheating. But the songs are beautiful…and beauty doesn't only encompass how you look. So take a brief break, relax every now and then, and keep an even keel.
