Whisper is a highlighter shade or a soft accent color. It isn't a bright vibrant white, but a super-pale pinkish peach with a blue-interference flash. Variants of colors like this have a sheer yellow-orange with the blue as the accent, or a more pink base shade with a bluer iridescence. Opacity varies, though most often other vendors' similar colors are also semisheer - even if you try to build them up. Whisper is the same. It is a great effects-shadow, and is a great way to add interesting hints of reflective blue and peach to an “office appropriate” makeup look; but it's nearly impossible to layer this up so that you have a strong peach or pink base color. Be aware of this, and use it accordingly. The results can run from attractive to interesting to stunning…as long as you use it as an overlay or a subtle highlighter, rather than trying to make it the most prominent color.
This is one of the few unblended pigments that BFTE sells. It's basically the same as TKB Trading's Echo, possibly with a slight base mix added to help with staying power. (According to a Facebook response, any primary pigment is a color that is sold unmixed with other shades by BFTE, but sold as it comes from the manufacturer. All unblended pigments sold by BFTE are clearly marked, on their individual product page.) I actually own some raw Echo mica from TKB, and Whisper seems to stay put just slightly better than Echo, which is why I think that BFTE may add some base mix to the otherwise-unchanged shades.
