Birthday drawings! The prize packages

Please pardon the gaps...

The site is in mid-migration now (manual migration of over 7,000 entries, so there's a lot to be done.) The entry stubs are created for older content, but for the most part, the actual content isn't there quite yet. I am working on it. Unfortunately I have no ETA. But feel free to link to any page! When the content does get populated, the URL will stay the same.

Birthday drawings! The prize packages

My site's first birthday is coming up in twelve days!! I've assembled four prize packages that I'll be giving away, all items new, none donated or “sponsored” - these are extras I bought for my own stash, and in a few cases I ended up with duplicates. Giveaways will be open to international folks too, but only for prize packages 2, 3 and 4. (Nail polish can't be sent through regular mail because of their contents, so to minimize my costs I'm limiting that one to folks living in the US and Canada. Otherwise I've got to pay $80 to send a package to the UK, for example. If anyone can tell me inexpensive ways to ship nail polish internationally, I can change this.) I'll post details of how to enter in a few days, but for now here's the prize listing:

Package 1

Some duplicates I received, and one that I bought two of. Cherie is a lovely mid-pink with gold iridescence. Punk is a great blue with a mild duochrome effect. Millenium is a metallic silver that, as a wonderful plus, actually works well for use as a Konad/fauxnad "special polish".

  • L.A. Girl Rock Star Punk nail polish
  • China Glaze’s Millenium nail polish
  • Zoya’s Cherie nail polish

Package 2

I'm a big fan of Bath and Body Works. My favorite scents are White Tea and Ginger, Juniper Berry, Black Amethyst, Dancing Waters, White Citrus, and PS I Love You. Once during one of their semi-annual sales I found some miniatures of Pear Blossom, a scent that sadly seems to have been discontinued (dang!!!) as it's not even available through the web site. If you were a huge raging fan of White Tea and Ginger and are - like me - mildly annoyed that you can't find it in the stores any longer, check out White Citrus. It's a newer scent, and it's a bit "brighter", but it does have the clean citrus spice scent with a mild floral note.

  • Bath and Body Works’ Pear Blossom mini-spritzer
  • Bath and Body Works’ PS I Love You body lotion
  • Bath and Body Works’ White Citrus antibacterial hand lotion

Package 3

Mango Smoothie and Retro have recently been discontinued, but they're both lovely shades: Mango Smoothie was part of the Blendable Eye: Fruit Smoothies kit, and Retro was available in a few kits earlier on in BE's history. Lovely is a warmer-toned blush, but not so warm that neutral- and cool-toned people can't wear it (like Golden Gate, which does indeed make me look like an Oompa Loompa.)

  • Bare Escentuals’ Lovely blush
  • Bare Escentuals’ Retro eyeliner
  • Bare Escentuals’ Mango Smoothie eyeshadow
  • Bare Escentuals’ Big Tease mascara

Package 4

Four eyeshadows from my all-time favorite collection from The SheSpace, Cinderella Dumped Her Fella. I do wish that she'd continued her Client Faves program, or thought about making some of these shadows permanent, because this one collection contains most of my favorites from TSS. Once when Heather briefly made the collection available again, I got several dupes - even though I already had previously bought backups of many of these colors. I wish that I had some power to make these available again for everyone to purchase; but since I don't, I can give away these and someone will enjoy them. (The lip balm was not part of this collection, but was a limited-edition preview shade that looks a bit too warm for my preferences.)
