NOTE 03/25/2013: I will no longer be purchasing or reviewing any new China Glaze products, aside from the two that I have in the publishing queue. All previously-published posts will remain up. Info & links of interest
The OMG collection holographics are my hands-down favorites, of the holographic polishes that I've seen (with the exception of Sally Hansen's Nail Magic polishes from the 1990s.) Linear holographics, some lovely shades (2NITE's dusty blue, TTYL's peach, FYI's gold-tan), and excellent spreadability. I do wish that the polishes were a little more durable, though - or that a topcoat didn't mute the linear holographic effect so severely! There was a “holographic topcoat”, Wireless, that was released with this set. I used it, and while it does have some holographic particles of its own…it really doesn't replace the linear effect that the “topcoat” basically kills. I don't know if it's possible to make a linear-holographic topcoat, but if there ever is one, I suspect that it'll be sold out less than two hours after it hits the shelves. (Any web sites selling this Magical Product would be brought to their knees by the rush of holo-polish addicts looking to place as many orders as they could.)
