China Glaze’s Midtown Magic

I wasn't sure that I'd like this color so much, when I read the initial descriptions. I then was concerned that the sparkle would only really show up in sunlight (which doesn't make an appearance all that often in this part of the Pacific Northwest.) Then I saw some manis photographed in indoor lighting, and while the sparkle wasn't as pronounced as the sunlight photos, I liked the effects.

The polish spreads and covers very well. The formula feels a little thicker than some China Glaze polishes, but doesn't cross the line into being a sticky mess. The base color actually appears greenish-black in certain lighting, and the multicolored sparkles definitely show up (more dramatic in the sunlight, but they're not invisible indoors!)

Photos that show how the product actually performs...! See how I create my swatches
