China Glaze’s Tis the Season collection

Sixteen holiday colors in a mixture of finishes: creme, metallic, and glitter. There were also gift sets available, with two colors some kind of extra (a candle, a shot glass, a stuffed animal, four mini-polishes in a candy cane.) Once again, I ended up eyeing two polishes, and ended up with nearly half of them.

This collection contained:

  • Cheers To You — metallic silver shimmer
  • Frosty — semisheer white microglitter
  • Jingle Bells — metallic gold-beige shimmer
  • Jolly Holly — metallic true-green shimmer
  • Little Drummer Boy — metallic bright navy shimmer
  • Midnight Kiss — metallic pale gold shimmer
  • Mistletoe Kisses — aqua-green glitter
  • Mommy Kissing Santa — metallic bright-red shimmer
  • Mrs. Claus — cherry-red glitter
  • Naughty and Nice — dark eggplant creme
  • Party Hearty — silver, red, and green glitter
  • Peace On Earth — metallic olive-green shimmer
  • Phat Santa — cranberry creme
  • Ruby Deer — warm red creme
  • Snow — bright white creme
  • Sugar Plums — metallic plum shimmer

Initially I thought I might just get three colors: Jingle Bells, Little Drummer Boy, and Mommy Kissing Santa. I knew that China Glaze's metallics worked well as nail stamping polishes, and I didn't yet have anything quite like these in my collection. I ended up adding Frosty and Jolly Holly to my wishlist, after seeing swatches on other bloggers' sites. The various "gift sets" released with this collection looked interesting, but not interesting enough for me to want to buy any of them - I liked the candle included with one set, but wasn't interested in the two glitter polishes in that set :D The Celebrate in Style set, which included Jingle Bells-Little Drummer Boy-Mommy Kissing Santa-Peace On Earth, came closest to having all the polishes that I wanted - but I didn't want another olive/warm metallic green polish that badly.
