I’ve only tried one other metallic-finish Vinylux shade. Most of them are creme finishes. But this is the only true foil finish I’ve seen in the lineup. It looks fantastic, covers completely in two coats (one coat came awfully close to full coverage, but there were a few thinner spots on my thumbnails) and it’s just a bit more durable than the cremes. Going on Day Five of this manicure, I didn’t have any tipwear at all.
I don’t know that Vinylux plans to release too many more foils - they seem to be going the route of making good solid base colors, then selling additives like glitters - but if they do sell any more, I’ll be all over those colors.
The entire Gilded Dreams collection was released in both Shellac and Vinylux formulas, but both are limited-edition.
