CND’s Vinylux Gilded Pleasure (115)

This was the only duochrome color in CND’s Vinylux collection. I say “was” because…it has been discontinued. This past summer, it was available for purchase. Now…nada. (I noticed its absence and bought a few more bottles when I had the chance.) The duochrome effect isn’t as pronounced as with Chanel’s Peridot, but I get full coverage and as much duochrome activity as I’ll get, with two coats. The required top coat does mute the effects slightly, which may be why it was eventually discontinued. (Or maybe it just wasn’t that popular a shade choice. I have no idea.)

The formula was a little on the thicker side. It wasn’t quite as easy to work with as other Vinylux polishes have been. I don’t know if that’s because of the formula, or if it’s some ingredient required to get the duochrome effect, or the age of the bottle that I purchased; but the polish was noticeably thicker.
