Color Club’s Back to Boho collection

The autumn 2011 collection was…more of a last-gasp-of-summer palette, it seemed like. The overall palette made me think of a beach house at the end of the season: all the washed and faded blues and greens and browns. There was only one red, and only two other “warm” colors. There were some very interesting shades - I fell in love with Nouveau Vintage as soon as I saw photos! And Rad Nomad and Shabby Drab both have more depth than the professional photos of them would suggest. A few of the polishes were a little on the thin side, and Voodoo You Do is right on the edge of being a frost-finish with all the unfortunate tendencies to really show brushstrokes. The collection together doesn’t have a lot of visual cohesion, but there are some definite gems in there!

This collection contained:

  • Artsy Craftsy — deep evergreen creme
  • Blue-topia — purple-navy creme
  • Boho Mojo — soft silver-metallic pearl
  • Earthy Angel — soft peach creme
  • New Bohemian — muted seafoam creme
  • Nomadic In Nude — cream-beige creme
  • Nouveau Vintage — roughened metallic bronzed brown with gold, red, and copper shimmer
  • Rad Nomad — muted slate-purple creme
  • Rebel Spirit — dark brown creme
  • Red-ical Gypsy — medium-deep red creme
  • Shabby Drab — muted medium blue creme
  • Voodoo You Do — blackened teal shimmer
