Darker violet without being blackened! It’s not quite a velvet-violet, but I’ve seen this shade on actual violets. (So there 
) The finish is definitely matte, but if you love the shade but want it shiny you can always use a glossy top coat.
This was a bit on the thinner side. I don’t know that it would show up too well if used for stamping, or even freehand artwork, unless it was the background layer.
