Color Club’s Paris In Love collection

Color Club’s 2014 summer offering brings us six soft-and-sweet creme polishes with…well, varying levels of coverage. They all cover well, if you use enough coats. While some of the polishes are your standard two-coaters with a nicely durable formula, two of these shades are a bit less hefty and needed three or four coats for me to get fully opaque, even coverage. (That was another of my gripes: with the problem children, the coverage was not uniformly thin, it was patchy.)

If you're thinking this palette looks a little bit familiar, you're not far off: the Spring 2012 Blossoming collection also had softer shades, even though most of those colors had just a little bit more depth than these. On the one hand: pastels, in spring, how original. On the other hand: pastels, in spring, almost always appreciated by many folks. And between Blossoming and Paris in Love, you have your choice of richer or softer pastel polishes.

This collection contained:

  • Fondue for Two — medium brown creme
  • Holy Chic — bright periwinkle creme
  • Je Ne Sais Quoi — harvest-yellow creme
  • Je t'taime — pink-rose creme
  • Le Petit Mint-seur — medium-bright green creme
  • Macaroon Swoon — soft pastel yellow creme
